Kate Walter

A founding member of Riot Ensemble, Kate Walter loves exploring new works and a performance at Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival was one of her most memorable.
Kate plays regularly with the Philharmonia, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, English National Opera, Royal Northern Sinfonia, London Contemporary Orchestra and in the production of Les Misérables. She made her concerto debut at Cadogan Hall with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
Kate studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating with a first class honors degree and a Masters distinction. She was awarded both the Needlemakers woodwind prize and the Ivan Sutton chamber music prize. Kate currently teaches at the junior department of Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
