Amy Green
Saxophones

Multi-award winning Amy Green is one of the UK’s leading saxophonists. Twice a selected Park Lane Group Artist, she was the first saxophonist to win the Edward & Helen Hague Woodwind Prize, and received the Royal College of Music’s Tagore Gold Medal. She has given recitals at the Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall Elgar Room, Cadogan Hall, St Martin in the Fields, St John’s Smith Square, and in the BBC Proms Plus series. Amy is the soprano saxophonist in the Laefer Quartet, who are releasing their debut album Strata in 2024 featuring all new works for saxophone quartet. Her orchestral work includes the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Opera House, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, English National Opera, London Sinfonietta, and the Michael Nyman Band. Amy can be heard on several film and video game scores including as a featured artist on Chris Roe’s Blue Jean soundtrack, and she appeared on the acclaimed Vida Guitar Quartet’s 2017 album Bachianas. Alongside performing, Amy is a passionate teacher and educator. She is the saxophone teacher at the Purcell School of Music and has given masterclasses and workshops at the Royal Academy of Music, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the University of Southampton, and the University of Aberdeen. Amy studied at the Royal College of Music with Kyle Horch and at the Paris Conservatoire with Claude Delangle.
