The Riot Ensemble Composers

We believe the music of our time is deeply valuable and important to understanding the times that we live in.  Whether we’re practicing for a world premiere, or presenting an established masterwork, we believe the creation of all music requires an array of artists working to collaborate and understand one another.

In three years, we’ve given more than fifty premieres on our concerts, and have hosted composers from Australia, Italy, Argentina, Brazil, the United States to hear their music performed in the UK for the first time.  We commission brand new work, and spend a lot of time listening to music – both in live concerts and digitally – to find music we’re passionate about playing for our audiences.

  1. Loved all the music at the concert last night…..with fantastic commitment from all the performers……thank you.

I especially liked the Helen Grime and Jonathan Harvey….but also Lend/Lease by David Lang, and parts of the fragment by J.C. Clark, and the Dreams, Shadows, Smoke by Patrick Harrex

    Thanks again
